Elban spruce forests - a natural monument of regional significance, located in the Maslyaninsky district of the Novosibirsk region . Area - 689 ha. The environmental status was assigned on February 25, 1999 [1] .

It is a spruce forest with a combination of forest, meadow and bog elements [1] .
Content
Location
The natural monument "Elban spruce forests" is located in the Maslyaninsky district of the Novosibirsk region in the middle reaches of the Elban River, adjacent to the village of Elban from the north-east side [1] .
Flora
Species rare for the Novosibirsk region but common for dark coniferous forests grow in Yelban spruce forests: sourhead, four-leafed raven eye, common toucan, double-leafed lantern, alpine bicuspid, common daphne [1] .
Types of plants from the orchid family: real slipper and large-slipper [1] .
On the territory of the complex, curly lily, Altai anemone, bifolia lobe, etc. also grow [1] .
Shrubs are represented by Tatar honeysuckle, Siberian mountain ash, Siberian elderberry, common bird cherry [1] .
The combination of plants found in the fir tree indicates that the natural features of the ice age may have been preserved here [1] .
Some plants are listed in the Red Book of Russia and in the book "Rare and Endangered Plants of Siberia" [1] .
Fauna
Birds
The following bird of prey species live on the territory of the natural monument: eagle owl, gray-haired owl, coddling, goshawk, large spotted eagle, long-tailed bullfinch , woodpeckers (small variegated, three- fingered and black), hazel grouse [1] .
Arthropods
In the summer of 1998, more than 500 species of insects and other arthropods were identified, including those listed in the Red Book of Russia ( Lyme , Apollon and Armenian bumblebee ) [1] .
