Biography

Elena Abrosimova was born in 1967; In the last years of the existence of the USSR , in 1989, she graduated from the Law Faculty of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov (with honors) and entered graduate school. In 1994, already in Russia, she successfully defended her PhD thesis, written under the direction of Ekaterina Gendzekhadze - on the topic “ Charitable organizations in the Russian Federation (civil law aspects)”; became a candidate of law. In the period from 1995 to 2013 she was an expert of the State Duma of Russia - she advised the Duma committee on public and religious associations.

Since 2001, Abrosimova has been teaching the MSU students a special course “Nonprofit Organizations in Trade Turnover” (renamed “Organizers of Turnover”), to which she wrote a separate study guide. In 2009, she headed the student group "Commercial Law", which resumed its work in the same year. In 2010, she became an assistant professor at the Department of Commercial Law and the Basics of Jurisprudence; two years later, she joined the board of the Center for the Development of Legal Clinics, founded a year earlier. In September 2014, she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation, the consultant of which was Professor Boris Puginsky - on the topic "Trade Organizers: Legal Status and Functionality"; became a doctor of law.

In 2014, Abrosimova also became the acting (acting) head of the department of commercial law and the basics of law; the next year she took this post on an ongoing basis - she continued to remain at the head of the department in 2019. Conducted seminars for beginning teachers and graduate students on interactive teaching methods of law ; carried out the scientific management of the research of graduate students.

As of 2019, Elena Abrosimova was part of the working group on monitoring law enforcement and improving the legislation on non-profit organizations, created jointly by the Ministry of Justice of Russia and the Human Rights Council of the Russian Federation ; She was also a member of the coordination council under the chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation . She headed the jury of the Civil Law section, which was held as part of the All-Russian Student Law Olympiad. She also served on two dissertation councils: at the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University ("civil law, business law") and at the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences .

Abrosimova is the author and co-author of more than one and a half hundred scientific papers on both the legislation on non-profit organizations (examining in detail the legal status of Russian charitable organizations [1] ) and the organization of wholesale trade in goods and exchange trade ; works were published both in Russian and in English; Among them was the monograph “Legal Aspects of the Activities of Non-Profit Organizations” (2000) and the textbook “Organizers of Trade Turnover” (2011).
