Rangkul ( Kyrgyz. Yraң-Kөl ) is one of the six villages of the Murghab district of the Gorno-Badakhshan region of Tajikistan . The village is located on the border with China. The population of 2010 was a little more than 1,100 people. The ethnic composition is almost 100% Kyrgyz. They live off livestock, including livestock breeding. In the village there is a border part of the Tajik army. There is a center of Kyrgyz music in the village, where more than 25 children and adolescents study. In 2011, more than 1,100 km2 were transferred to China, which is almost 60% of the ranks of pastoralists. There is a school, a first-aid post.
