Born in the village of Slobodskoye, now Kstovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1939.
In the RKKF since 1927. He graduated from the Naval College. Frunze (1931), Special courses for command personnel (navigational sector, 1932), commander class of the Diving Training Division named after Kirov (1935), command faculty of the Naval Academy. Voroshilov (1944).
