Ander Barrenechea is a student of the Antiguoko team from the city of San Sebastian [1] . In 2013, he entered the training system of Real Sociedad .

On December 21, 2018, in a match against Alaves , the footballer first played for the main team in the Spanish Championship [2] , becoming 26th in the list of youngest debutants in the history of La Liga [3] and the first participant in the tournament born in the 21st century [4 ] . In a home match of the penultimate round of the championship, Barrenechea scored his first goal in La Liga and helped his team defeat Real Madrid 3-1 [5] .
