Biography

Born on January 23 ( February 5 ), 1902 in Minsk, in the family of the hereditary nobleman Tatur Cosma (Kuzma) Feliksovich [1] and Tatur Olympiad Ivanovna.

Member of the Civil War in the army of Kolchak.

In 1927 he graduated from the mechanical department of the State Far Eastern University in Vladivostok.

In 1927-1939 - at the Far Eastern Polytechnic Institute, since 1931 - head of the department of building mechanics, since 1933 - head of the department of resistance of materials.

In 1939, by competition, he was elected to the Kryvyi Rih Mining Institute as the head of the department of material resistance and theoretical mechanics. During the Great Patriotic War , he was evacuated to Nizhny Tagil together with the institute.

On June 9, 1954, at the Academic Council of the VN Obraztsov Leningrad Institute of Railway Engineers, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences.

On April 2, 1955, he was approved as a doctor of technical sciences and in the academic rank of professor at the Krivorozhsky Mining Institute.

In 1959-1968 - Head of the Department of Theoretical Mechanics of the Engineering Faculty of the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute .

He died on June 7, 1979 in Minsk, where he was buried in the Northern cemetery (section 41, row 5, place 12).

Scientific activity

Specialist in the field of theoretical mechanics and resistance of materials. I solved a number of applied problems that arose in the process of industrial construction. His research interests also included elasticity theory, strength of welded joints, structural stability, mining mechanics, dynamics and strength of machines and mechanisms.
