History
The newspaper was created in 1909 in Novonikolaevsk (modern Novosibirsk) [1] .
In the years 1911-1912, the newspaper was edited by a professional revolutionary Andrei Novitsky , who invited to work in the publication exiles and members of the Novonikolayev group of the RSDLP : P. A. Kovalenko, E. A. Preobrazhensky, B. M. Bakhmetegy and his sister-in-law A. F. Ilyina, A. Muzykina, Social Democrat M.K. Evgrafova. The editorial office through Preobrazhensky had a connection with the Central Committee of the RSDLP [1] .
Famous members of the Social Democratic Party of Russia collaborated with the publication [1] . "Ob Life" published two articles by V.I. Lenin , negotiations were ongoing with him [1] .
On the night of August 6, 1912, some newspaper workers were arrested, the police found out that Novitsky was involved in the revolutionary underground, and searches began in the newspaper, Novitsky himself was exiled to Narymsky Krai for two years. In November 1912, "Ob Life" was closed [2] [1] .
