Content
History
Until 2015, the canton included the communes of Bai , Kemperle , Kloar-Karnoe , Mellak and Tremevan .
As a result of the 2015 reform [1], the composition of the canton was changed: it included the communes of the abolished cantons of Arzono and Skaer.

Policy
In the 2017 presidential election, the canton residents cast in the 1st round Emmanuel Macron 27.6% of the vote against 21.0% of Jean-Luc Melanson , 16.2% of Marin Le Pen and 15.4% of Francois Fillon ; in the 2nd round, Macron won the canton, receiving 73.8% of the vote. (2012 1st round: Francois Hollande - 33.6%, Nicolas Sarkozy - 21.8%, Marine Le Pen - 13.2%; 2nd round: Hollande - 61.9%).
Since 2015, the canton has been represented on the Council of the Finister by Mayor of Kemperle, Michel Kernez (Michaël Quernez) and Vice Mayor of the commune of Kloar-Karnoe Anne Maréchal (both Socialist Party ).
