Yenisei , Topaz-2 [6] - a nuclear power plant was produced by the Central Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering . [3] [2] The installation was a development of the idea realized in the installations of the Buk series. [5] The installation did not go into series, [7] was not put into space. [3] [2]

History
The installations were carried out by the Central Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering in cooperation with enterprises, the Kurchatov Institute , [4] NPO Luch , PNITI, SIPT. [3] Installation of installations was completed by a cycle of ground tests, including six nuclear energy tests with a resource confirmation of about one and a half years, with resource prediction based on the results of opening and studying the elemental base, up to three or more years. [2] For flight tests, two samples and several products for developing docking with spacecraft were developed. [2] Due to the reduction in funding, flight tests were not carried out, the created samples were used in joint work with the USA . [2] [3] They were sold by NASA in 1992 [8] for $ 13 million, where they were tested and were tested, but did not go into space. [7] In the USA, their thermionic reactors were created on the basis of the Yenisei installations in order to supply them with their military satellites. [8] In 1994, the installations were located in the Philips laboratory center where bench tests were carried out. [3] There are opinions according to which the design documentation for the Yenisei (Topaz-2) program was on board the sunken ferry “ Estonia ” in one of the vehicles prohibited for search. [9]
Description
A variant of a thermionic nuclear power plant with single-element EGCs, [2] which is a development of the Buk series design. [5] Installations of the Topaz and Yenisei series are similar in parameters, but have structural differences. [3]
