Elections to the Constitutional Assembly in Guatemala were held on May 24, 1964 [1] . The National Liberation Movement and the Revolutionary Party each received 10 meeting places. However, 60 members of the assembly were appointed by the military government, which subsequently formed the Institutional Democratic Party in September 1964.
