Description

The electric bus is designed on the basis of the MAZ-203 model bus and is made from a car kit planned by the MAZ-203E electric bus planned by the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ-203E7M modification). This electric bus does not have any differences in electric component, in comparison with the SVARZ-MAZ-6275 model trolleybus related to it, which was mass-produced by Sokolniki Car Repair Plant in 2012-2017. At the rear of the passenger compartment, the engine shaft covers the entire space located behind the rear door. Due to this factor, the seats are placed on the middle platform, which in turn decreased by about 20% due to the transfer of seats. At the same time, the busbar entry remained in the same place where it adjoins the newly installed seats. The electric bus is equipped with a pantograph-type charging system, but adapted to work under the current contact network of the trolley bus (charging from the charging station is not possible due to a different contact insert). The interior and air conditioning systems are similar to the trolleybus counterpart [1] .

Operation

In the near future, SVARZ plans to apply for certification of this model. After it passes, the electric bus will be assigned the name SVARZ-MAZ-6262. The arrival of electric buses of this model this year is not planned.
