P-750B is a variant of the project P-750 . The submarine can be on the main armament of torpedoes, mines and even cruise missiles "Caliber", which can horizontally start from under the water. P-750B is the only submarine in the world with an engine capable of operating in the complete absence of air.
History
For the first time, the P-750B project was presented at the Army-2019 forum in 2019, where representatives of the Malakhit design bureau revealed some of the design features [1] of both the experimental submarine itself [2] and the newest air-independent engine that will be installed on it [3] .

The submarine P-750B is intended for attacking enemy coastal targets, destroying enemy ships, ships and submarines. With the help of the submarine you can conduct reconnaissance, carry out delivery and other manipulations. In addition, the P-750B is capable of carrying out hidden delivery, landing and receiving aboard reconnaissance and sabotage groups of up to 16 people, as well as conduct reconnaissance and put mine barriers [4] [2] .
According to the developers, the full cycle of work to complete the construction of the PL P-750B before it is handed over to the fleet will take about five years [5] .
“The developers call the advantages of the P-750B modern weapons, radio-electronic equipment, a high degree of automation and a small crew (18-20 people), maneuverability, secrecy and the ability to conduct military operations in narrow places and in shallow water. In addition, the submarine can be based in existing bases and ports. "
In addition to the anaerobic power plant consisting of two gas-turbine units, the power plant of the submarine includes a 2500 kW rowing electric motor. According to Vladimir Dorofeev, Malachite CEO, the submarine P-750B will be able to reach a submerged speed of 10-12 knots without batteries [4] . Thanks to this solution, the submarine will be able to be in autonomous scuba diving for up to 30 days and overcome 4300 miles, including up to 1200 miles without surfacing.
Anaerobic propulsion system
According to Igor Karavaev, the lead designer of the design bureau Malakhit , the new engine has two modes of operation - surface and underwater. In the surface mode, atmospheric air is used to operate the gas turbine unit. In the underwater, a liquid oxidizer is supplied from Dewar vessels , and the gas mixture released by the turbine of the engine is frozen again, so the engine does not consume from the environment and does not release anything into the environment. Only with the help of this installation, a submarine develops a submerged speed of 10 knots or more [3] .
