Admiral Makarov Street (Moscow)

Admiral Makarov Street (since 1964 [1] ) - a street in the Northern Administrative District of Moscow on the territory of the Voikovsky District . It is located between the Baltiyskaya station , the Moscow Central Circle , on the site of the small ring of the Moscow Railway , Leningradskoye Shosse and Golovinsky Shosse . It intersects with Vyborg street . The numbering of houses is from the Leningrad highway.

Most of the street runs parallel to the Leningrad highway, from the southeast to northwest. However, the street begins from the Leningradskoye Shosse bridge over the railway, and a small section of it runs along the railway to the bend.

Content

Name Origin

It was named April 18, 1964 in honor of S. O. Makarov [2] .

History

The entire residential part of the street (the odd side) was built up in 1959 - 1968 . brick and panel houses

Monuments

At home 23 is a monument to Senior Sergeant Tsarev Konstantin Spiridonovich (1929-1963), who died in the line of duty ( Konstantin Tsaryov Street in Moscow is also named after him).

Transport

  • At the northern end of the street is the southern exit of the Vodny Stadion metro station. At this exit there is a stop of the express bus number 440, going to Solnechnogorsk , number 350, going to the village of Mendeleevo, Solnechnogorsk district, and number 437 to Klin.
  • Bus number 570 (for some time it wore number 70k).
  • At the southern end of the street is the Baltiyskaya station of the MCC .
