Geography
Located on the left bank of the Volga , 4 km southwest of the city of Engels . The highway P226 passes through the village. It is connected by road with Engels and a railway bridge - with Saratov .
Near the village is the Anisovka railway station - the nodal station of the Saratov branch of the Volga Railway .
History
The history of the village begins with the history of the construction of the largest meat factory in the USSR. The first buildings of the plant were laid on August 16, 1932. Around the meat factory were built at home, a hospital. The status of an urban-type settlement has been since 1939 . During the Great Patriotic War , the Moscow enterprise Aviapribor was evacuated to the village. In 1951, at its base in Privolzhsky, the Signal plant was formed, which produced avionics products [4] . In 1960, the EPO “Signal” leisure institution was built, which was later transformed into the Voskhod Culture House [5] .
The meat processing plant in the Volga region was liquidated on June 25, 2003 [6] .
It is an industrial suburb of the city of Engels .
It was the administrative center of the Volga municipality until its abolition on April 24, 2013 [7] .
In the Volga region there are 4 comprehensive schools, 9 kindergartens, a day nursery, the Palace of Culture "Sunrise", "Pokrovsky", a library. There is the Signal Group of Companies (EPO Signal LLC, EZOT Signal LLC), Engels Corrugated Packaging Plant [8] .
