Content
History
From 1937 to 1963 it was the administrative center of the Zhukovsky (from 1931 Dregelsky) district . By a resolution of the Presidium of the Leningrad Oblast Executive Committee of March 11, 1931, the village of Zhukovo was renamed Dregli [2] .
During the excavation of the soil burial ground near the village of Dregli , a medieval ritual of “digging out" a dead man was fixed, which was exposed by Serapion Vladimirsky (in 1273) and Maxim Grek (in 1506) [3] .
Geography
Dregley is located in the north of the region, in a forest area and is located on the river Draegla .
