PRIDE 1

Pride 1 is the first Pride Fighting Championships mixed martial arts tournament founded in Japan in 1997. The tournament was held at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. The main event of the tournament was the first fight between the professional Japanese wrestler Nobuhiko Takada and the representative of the Gracie family Hickson Gracie . In addition to the MMA fights that evening, there was also a kickboxing fight between the K1 Grand Prix Champion Branko Tsikatic and Ralph White . There were no weight categories. Winning the decision was also impossible.
