Geography

Located 17 km north of the city of Volzhsk . Railway station Pomary on the non-electrified line Green Dol - Yoshkar-Ola . 2 km west of the village passes the highway P175 Volzhsk - Yoshkar-Ola. 5 km north of the village runs the southern border of the Mari Chodra National Park .

History

The village was founded on July 10, 1980 as a working village on the basis of the Volzhskaya poultry farm and the Pomary railway station (formerly Krasny Yalchik).
