With an absolute magnitude of 16.4 [1], the estimate of the diameter of the asteroid is 1.6 km (accurate to a factor of 2). [3] (308,242) 2005 GO 21 is one of the largest potentially dangerous asteroids, the largest among discovered in 2005. [4] On June 21, 2012, an asteroid passed the Earth at a distance of 0.043963 AU [5] During the approach, the asteroid was investigated using the radars of the Goldstone and Arecibo complexes. [3]
