Scaly short-tailed ant (1) ( Willisornis poecilinotus ) is a species of birds from the family Thamnophilidae . Described (under the name Hypocnemis poecilinotus [2] ) and first drawn by the German ornithologist Jean Louis Cabanis in 1847. Until 2011, Willisornis vidua was considered a subspecies of this species, but at present it is considered as a separate species.
