Duva-Sohor ( Mong. Duva Sahor ) - the ancestor of Genghis Khan in the twelfth generation, son of Torokolgin-Bayan and Borokhchin-goa, grandson of Borgigidai-Mergen [1] . The nickname “Sahor” means “blind”, because, according to legend, Duv-Sohora had only one eye in the middle of his forehead, which he, however, could see “for three migrations” [2] [3] .

Duva-Sohora's younger brother, Dobun-Mergen , was married to Alan-goa and had two sons from her - the Pugunot and Belgunot (three more - Bugu-Hadagi, Bukhutu-Saldzhi and Bodonchar - were born after his death). According to “The Secret Story of the Mongols, ” it was through the efforts of Duv-Sohora that Alan-goa became Dobun-Mergen's wife: having caught sight of Alan-goa with his family, he convinced his brother to go to her relatives and marry if she was unmarried [3] [4] .
Duva-Sochor himself had four sons: Dona, Dokshin, Emnek and Erkeg [5] . After the death of the father, not recognizing his uncle Dobun-Mergen, they migrated away from him and stood out in a separate genus - Durban [3] [6] . Subsequently, their descendants moved to Altai , where they became part of the Oirats [7] .
