Eric Clapton's Rainbow Concert

Eric Clapton's Rainbow Concert is a live album by British blues-rock musician Eric Clapton , recorded on January 13, 1973 at the London Rainbow Theater and released by RSO Records in September of the same year [1] . The album includes six songs from the number played at the concert. In 1995, a remastered album reissue was released, containing 14 tracks.

About the album

This concert (more precisely, two concerts on the same day), organized by Pete Townsend from The Who , marked Clapton’s return to musical activity after a two-year hiatus caused by heroin addiction [2] [3] . Townsend himself took part in the concert. Besides him, Steve Winwood and Rick Grech (former colleagues of Clapton in the Blind Faith group), as well as some other famous musicians participated in the concert [4] .
