About the album
Mixed songs in the styles of rock and electro , Power, Corruption & Lies for many years was considered the most innovative and influential album in the work of the group. There is no trace of the former post-punk in New Order music.
Some of the songs were written in the summer and fall of 1982 , the rest - during the preparation of the album. Other arrangements for the songs “We All Stand” and “5 8 6” can be heard on the album “ The Peel Sessions ”, which contains the recordings of January 1982 .
