Biography

He played as a hockey player in the lower Finnish leagues. Already at an early age Tupamyaki took up coaching activities. After going through youth and youth hockey, the young specialist got the opportunity to work with the team of the second Finnish league KeuPa. Soon, the coach headed the Estonian hockey team . For the first time in many years, Tupamyaki managed to gain a foothold with the “Baltic” in the First Division of the World Cup . In the 2017/18 season, the mentor was in charge of the Bretsenwald Autorsrian and took 10th place with him in the regular season. With the team, he did not get into the playoffs, behind the exit zone in the second stage of the championship by only 3 points. [1] While working with the club, Tupamyaki left the national team of Estonia, but in April 2018, two weeks before the start of the World Championship in the First Division in Lithuania, he returned to the post, at the last moment replacing the Canadian coach of Greek origin Spiros Anastasidis . [2] The return turned out to be successful and the Estonians won bronze, and until the last round they claimed to enter Group A of the First Division.

In May 2019, Tupamyaki again returned to Austria, having accepted the club of the local hockey league Dornbirn . However, the Finn expressed a desire to continue working with Estonia. [3]
