The World Chess Championship match between Emanuel Lasker and Karl Schlechter was held from January 7 to February 10, 1910 in Vienna and Berlin .
Initially it was supposed to hold a match for most of the 30 parties, and Schlechter, according to some sources, to win the title of world champion, it was necessary to achieve a margin of 2 points. But due to lack of funds the match was held on most of the 10 parties. Some historians consider such a change in the regulation to be a reason not to consider this match as a world championship match.
For the first time in the history of the fight for the title of world champion, the match ended in a draw. Lasker retained the title of champion.
