Geography
The village is located in the southeastern part of the Oryol region, in the forest-steppe zone [2] , within the central part of the Central Russian Upland , south of the Bystraya Sosna River , at a distance of about 11 kilometers (in a straight line) east-southeast (ESE) from urban settlement Kolpny , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 190 meters above sea level [3] .
The climate is characterized as temperate continental. The average January temperature is −8.5 ° C, the average July temperature is +18.5 ° C. Annual precipitation is 500-550 mm. The average annual air temperature is +4.6 ° C [2] .
