Geography
The village is located in the southeastern part of the Oryol region, in the forest-steppe zone [2] , within the central part of the Central Russian Upland , on the right bank of the river Bystraya Sosna , at a distance of about 2 kilometers (as the crow flies) east of the urban-type settlement Kolpny , the administrative center district.
The climate is characterized as temperate continental. The average January temperature is −8.5 ° C, the average July temperature is +18.5 ° C. The annual precipitation is 500-550 mm. The average annual air temperature is +4.6 ° C [2] .
