The city is located in the southeastern part of the department, in the mountainous terrain of the Eastern Cordillera , on the right bank of the River Kussiana, approximately 76 kilometers east-southeast (ESE), from the town of Tunja , the administrative center of the department. The absolute height is 793 meters above sea ​​level [1] .

The municipality of Paharito borders on the north-east the territory of the municipality of Labransagrande , on the north-west - on the municipality of Akitania , on the south - on the territory of the department of Casanare . The area of ​​the municipality is 322 km ² [2] .

Population

Economy

60.4% of the total number of urban and municipal enterprises are enterprises of the trade sector, 30.9% are service enterprises, 7.4% are industrial enterprises, 1.3% are enterprises of other sectors of the economy [4] .
