Nicaraguan Grackl [1] ( Quiscalus nicaraguensis ) is a species of passerine birds from the cadaver family. They live only in Nicaragua and in the northern part of Costa Rica [2] . The population is concentrated near the lakes of Nicaragua and Managua, although the range has somewhat expanded due to deforestation by humans.

The bird is medium sized with a long tail and relatively long beak and legs. The latter are black, the eyes are pale yellow. The length of the males is about 31 cm, of the females 25 cm. The plumage of the males is completely black, glossy . Females are brown with pale "eyebrows" (supercyllum).
