Since 2004, it has been directly owned by the Russian OMZ Group, and is aimed, in particular, at applied research and supply of equipment, primarily for nuclear power, and for the oil refining, petrochemical and gas industries.

From 1980 to 1992, the company produced 21 complete VVER-440 reactors and 3 VVER-1000 reactors, as well as many other equipment for nuclear power plants ( steam generators , turbogenerators , etc.). This equipment was used for the construction of nuclear power plants with VVER reactors in Europe.

In separate divisions, the subject of entrepreneurial activity are the following areas: [2]

D1 - Engineering of nuclear power plants:

  • Construction of NPP units with a VVER reactor
  • Supplies and modernization of NPP control systems
  • EPC projects
  • Design analysis for nuclear power plants
  • Project activities
  • Pipeline systems in the energy sector
  • Acting as a customer engineer
  • Warehouses for intermediate storage of spent fuel
  • Construction of research and training reactors

This direction in the activities of "Skoda JS" amounted to 54% according to the results of activities in 2013 [3] and 46.4% in 2015 [4] .

D2 - Service of nuclear power plants:

  • Reactor control of reactor building equipment
  • Maintenance and repair of reactor building equipment
  • Modernization of reactor building equipment
  • Reactor building equipment life management
  • Operational controls of the main equipment of the reactor building
  • Field supervision during reactor audits and repairs
  • Tests of VVER, RBMK drives
  • Spare Parts & Supplies

D3 - Nuclear Equipment:

  • Production of equipment for nuclear power plants with VVER reactors ;
  • Production of equipment for nuclear power plants with Western-type reactors; [5]
  • Equipment for storage of spent nuclear fuel
  • Research Reactor Equipment
  • Development and design of new equipment (including equipment for maintenance and service equipment) for the above technologies.

D4 - Automated process control systems ( APCS ) of nuclear power plants (until 2015) [6] :

  • modernization and reconstruction of the process control system of the operating NPP units.
