The episodes were developed by Telltale Games in collaboration with Aardman Animations to create the plot, characters and setting. [3] Players occasionally control both Wallace and Gromit. [3] Ben Whitehead , Aardman's official backup voice actor, portrays Wallace instead of Peter Sallis , who voiced the character on all screens until this point. [4] A demo of the first episode was available on March 16, 2009, and it could be downloaded from the official website, as well as from Yahoo Games. The game is also included in the Bread and Death Cases of Region 2 and the Blu-ray DVD. On January 14, 2014, Telltale Games discontinued the game due to the expiration of Wallace and Gromit's intellectual property rights; [5] [6] Customers who previously purchased the game can still download episodes from their game library.

Synopsis

Episode 1: Fright of the Bumblebees

Wallace opened a new business, From Bee to You, specializing in the supply of freshly prepared honey to its customers. He accepts the offer to provide the local grocer with fifty gallons of honey as compensation after his electric cheese detection machine accidentally rolled around the store during a test run. However, Wallace used up all the flowers in his garden and had to improvise the growth formula in order to turn the daisy seeds provided by his neighbor, Miss Flitt, into giant flowers. The formula is successful, and it meets the requirements of its client, but soon everything goes wrong when the bees react to the growth formula, becoming huge and terrorizing the city and Wallace's house. Gromit catches most of the bees, but it turns out that Wallace was stolen by a giant queen bee. Gromit pursues him in a tanker truck and tries to save Wallace. The two work together to feed the queen plenty of honey, adding more growth formula, making the bee get stuck in the tunnel. Wallace developed an antidote to the growth formula to restore bees to their normal state, although it accidentally shrinks in the process.

Episode 2: The Last Resort

Using his profit from the honey business, Wallace is preparing to take Gromit to Blackpool , but the weather spoils their plans and creates a small flood in the basement. Wallace comes up with the idea of turning a swampy cellar into a closed resort for relaxing citizens and tries to make them all happy, although the two puppies of Mrs. Flitt cause great chaos. The "guy" Miss Flitt, Duncan McBiscuit is mysteriously wounded, and Wallace and Gromit conclude that the puppies, upset that they had taken the chewing toy away, attacked Duncan. At the end of the episode, the leak in the cellar shifts, and the puppies, chasing their chewing toy, follow it and find themselves in a prison cell, while Wallace begins to clean up the mess. As soon as everyone leaves, a whistling man with a mustache hangs a flyer at a charity fair through the door at 62 West Wallaby Street.

Episode 3: The Muzzle!

Soon after the holiday season, a charity fair comes to the city, run by Monty Mordle, to raise money for a new dog shelter, the old one was destroyed during a storm in the last episode. Having dealt with the three homeless in their home, Wallace and Gromit go to the fair with Wallace's new invention to create any flavor of ice cream. At the fair, Gromit discovers that Mr. Mordle is actually trying to steal the donations of the townspeople and uses them as manual labor for the fair. When Wallace and Gromit reveal Mr. Mordle's intentions, he escapes in an impromptu balloon, but Wallace and Gromit pursue him, blaming Mr. Mord for his dishonestly earned money saved for all homeless people. Miss Flitt, who dumped Duncan McBiscuit earlier in this episode and began to admire Wallace's “courage” (not suspecting that Gromit actually stopped Mazl), mistakenly confuses him in finding a loose nut , which she mistook for a wedding ring and marriage proposal from him.

Episode 4: The Bogey Man

Wallace starts a new business called The Golden Search, which aims to find lost items, and Major Crum hires it. To mitigate Ms. Flitt’s mistake by accepting what she mistook for Wallace’s proposal, Gromit manages to make him a member of Prickly Thicket, a local country club that Ms. Flitt Prudence’s aunt hates and reasonably rejects her niece’s marriage to Wallace. Ernest Dibbins, a local constable, jealous that Wallace was admitted to him, uses an obscure charter to threaten the club with closure because he doesn't have a golf course - or rather, he does, but the participants don't know where it is, because it's absent, held securely in a security system developed by (the obvious) Wallace’s ancestor, Goodman Whitless (and his faithful dog Himlet). Using his detective equipment, Wallace manages to find the case Major Crum was looking for, but he discovers that the whole city was built on a golf course, and the vengeful Duncan decides to destroy the city in order to restore the course. Wallace challenges Duncan to a golf tournament so he can become chairman and break the deal to save the city. He manages to defeat with the help of Gromit. However, when he goes to break the case, the security system lures him and other citizens in the room into a trap, and Gromit is forced to turn off the trap in order to free everyone. Wallace breaks the case and is glad that Miss Flitt canceled the engagement and returned to Duncan, whom her aunt almost approves, since he is no longer the chairman of the club.
