History

The settlement of Zatoka was founded in 1827, due to the establishment of a nautical sign (lighthouse) on the Tsaregrad girle . In 1850, the Directorate of the Black Sea Lighthouses made a decision to assign the status of a lighthouse headed by a flightmaster and a crew of 6 sailors to the “Dniester-Tsaregradsky” mark on September 21, 1851.

In 1877, the lighthouse was reconstructed. Instead of a wooden building, a 16-meter-high tower was built, with lamination rooms, in which a Fresnel lens with a gas-fire installation was installed.

During the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1944, the village was under the German-Romanian occupation .

In 1945, in the house number 3 on Plavnevaya Street, a new school was opened.

In 1953, in the barracks, which remained after the builders of the bridge, the Zatok Primary School was located.

December 5, 1955 built a railway bridge.

In 1989, the population size was1570 people [2] .
