Boveria ( lat. Beauvéria ) is a genus of ascomycete fungi from the family Cordycipitaceae . Representatives of the genus are cosmopolitans, breeding only asexually using spores [1] . 7 species, mainly parasites of insects and their larvae [2] . Boveriya thin ( B. tenella ) mainly affects beetles (May, Colorado potato potato - Epilachna vigintioctomaculata ). Boveria bassian (B. bassiana ) affects about 60 species of insects in the former USSR, and 175 species in North America. Based on it, a biological preparation bowerin, an effective tool for controlling pests of agricultural plants, has been created.
