Pakhtaabad district is an administrative-territorial unit within the Tajik SSR and the Stalinabad region that existed in 1936-1951. The area of the district according to 1947 was 0.3 thousand km². According to the data of 1939, the population was 15 630 people, including Uzbeks - 79.1%, Tajiks - 7.5%, Russians - 5.1%, Gypsies - 2.3%, Tatars - 1.6%, Ukrainians - 1.0% [1] .

Pakhtaabad district was formed as part of the Tajik SSR in 1936 from parts of the Regarsky and Shakhrinausky districts.
October 27, 1939 Pakhtaabad district became part of the Stalinabad region.
On September 13, 1948, the Chinar Kishlak Council was abolished in the Pakhtaabad region.
In 1951, the Pakhtaabad region was abolished [2] [3] .
