At first, work was carried out within the framework of NTN, but on May 23, 1996, an independent company, Uniton LLC, was organized. Initially, the broadcast lasted from 7:00 to 21:00, on April 1, 1996 the station began to work until 23:00, and in June of this year, round-the-clock broadcasting began [1] .
In February 1997, NTN began broadcasting on the wavelength of 70.88 MHz in the VHF band [1] .
On February 1, 1999, the station was renamed Radio Uniton [1] .
