Biography
Born in the city of Mazyr in the family of an accountant. He moved with his parents to Kiev (1930), then to Leningrad (1937).
He graduated from 9 classes of high school (1941), Leningrad College of Precision Mechanics and Optics (1944) and the evening faculty of LITMO (1952). Blockade, in the summer of 1942, together with the technical school, was evacuated to Cherepanovo, Novosibirsk Region.
Since 1947 he worked in the Design Bureau of the Progress Plant (hereinafter - the LOMO Association).
Deputy chief designer for the development of homing heads for man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS). He supervised the design development of homing heads of the "Arrow" type, a two-spectral homing head of the "Needle" type.
Chief designer for the development of a semi-active laser homing head (LPGS) 152-mm artillery shell "Krasnopol" (1979).
Laureate of the USSR State Prize (1987).
He was awarded the medal "For the Defense of Leningrad" (1943).
He died no earlier than 2015.
