Tammixaar, Erki

Erki Tammixaar (born December 1, 1969, Vändra , Estonia ) is an Estonian science historian and geographer , Ph.D. (since 2000). Winner of three national awards, including the Carl Ernst von Baer Award.

Works at the University of Tartu and the Estonian University of Life Sciences. A lot of time and effort devoted to the study of the history of polar research. I also introduced the Estonian-speaking public to Kamchatka researcher Karl Ditmar , who was previously virtually unknown to her. Hobbies: fishing in summer, swimming in winter. Married, has children.
