Short biography
He graduated from the St. Joseph School in Johor Bahru, where he took an active part in amateur art activities. Before becoming a professional singer, he worked at the post office in Johor Bahru for about a year. He wrote and sang pop -ye-ye songs. March 25, 1965 founded the six-person vocal-instrumental ensemble “Nirvana”, including singer Azizu binti Muhamad, who later became his wife. The ensemble was listed in the Malaysian Record Book in 2015 as the country's longest-running orchestra [2] . The business card of the singer was the album "Do not worry" (Tak mengapa). Since 1986, he served as president of the Union of Singers, Musicians, and Songwriters of Malaysia [3] and one of the leaders of the Foundation for the Welfare of Cultural Figures.
Died from a complication of pulmonary disease. Buried at the Muslim cemetery Taman Keramat [4] .

- The first wife is singer Aziza binti Muhamad (1947–2013), the second wife is actress Fadila Mansor (born 1959) - since 2014 [5] .
