Born in Belarus. The elder brother of the polar explorer Korotkevich Evgeny Sergeevich . [one]
He graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Chemical Technology (1931).
From 1932 to 1986 he worked at the State Design and Research Institute of Synthetic Rubber (GPNIIPSK, "Giprokauchuk") in positions from a junior research assistant to a chief engineer (since 1962).
Since the 1950s led course and diploma projects at the Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology. M.V. Lomonosov .
Candidate of Technical Sciences (1961).
Lenin Prize of 1967 - for a complex of works on the creation of regular rubbers and technology for their industrial production. Honored Chemist of the RSFSR (1981). [2]
He was awarded the Orders of Lenin, Red Star and the Red Banner of Labor, awards of Bulgaria and Poland.
