Worms Collection (from the English - “Worms: Collection”) - a collection of three games in the Worms series - Worms , Worms 2: Armageddon and Worms Ultimate Mayhem , and released in 2012 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles . In Russia, the collection was published by 1C-SoftKlab .

The studios of Team17 and RedBackSales were responsible for the creation of the collection, and the companies Mastertronic and Maximum Games in Europe and North America respectively published it. The Worms Collection was released on physical media, in contrast to the original games included in it, which were distributed through digital distribution .

The Worms Collection is a collection of Worms games for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles and includes three franchise parts - Worms , Worms 2: Armageddon and Worms Ultimate Mayhem , as well as 6 downloadable add-ons for Worms 2: Armageddon - Battle , Retro , Time Attack , Forts , Puzzle and Mayhem [ave. 1] . All of the above games were previously distributed only through digital distribution channels, while as part of the Worms Collection they were released on physical media [1] .

The official announcement of the Worms Collection took place on July 25, 2012 [2] . The developers of the collection are the Team17 studio, which was engaged in the development of previous parts of the Worms series, and RedBackSales. The publishers of the Worms Collection were Mastertronic and Maximum Games in Europe and North America respectively. Representatives of Mastertronic said that the collection will have “a price that you cannot afford to miss” [2] . The Worms Collection was released on August 31, 2012 in Europe, September 6 of the same year in Russia (where 1C-SoftKlab [3] was engaged in distribution) and May 21, 2013 in North America [2] .

The Worms Collection received mixed ratings from reviewers. On the Metacritic website , the version for the Xbox 360 received an average rating of 58 out of 100 possible [6] , while on GameRankings the version for the Xbox 360 received 68% [5] , and the version for the PlayStation 3 - 75% [4] .

Play UK columnist rated 85 out of 100, saying that it might seem a little boring only to those who don't like Worms [10] . PlayStation Official Magazine UK agreed with this opinion, noting that the collection’s games still feel as fresh as at the time of their release, rating 8 out of 10 [8] . However, a critic of the Official Xbox Magazine UK left negative feedback about the Worms Collection , rating the collection at 3 points out of 10, noting that it was an attempt by developers to sell old products at an overpriced price [9] . The Allgame Worms Collection website received 3.5 stars out of 5 possible [7] .
