History
In the first half of the 18th century a settlement of the Nevsky Regiment was founded here, which received the name Koltovskaya from the name of the regiment commander. In 1721, a linen church was built for the regiment in the name of the Transfiguration of the Lord. In 1727-1728, a wooden church was built in its place. It deteriorated pretty soon, and in 1761-1763 a new one, also wooden, was built. In 1862, according to the project of architect A.T. Zhukovsky , a stone church was laid.
When the building was almost ready, the dome collapsed. The church was completed by architects R. B. Bernhard and A. V. Ivanov . The work was completed by 1874.
In 1932, the church was demolished.
