Story
Previously, the X-Men defeated Magneto and declared him dead. Instead of handing Magneto over to the authorities and actually providing him with the death penalty, Professor X secretly brainwashed his old friend and tried to rehabilitate him. However, the Beast accidentally spoke about this plan to the Magneto Brotherhood , believing that he was talking with a pen pal. The Brotherhood took advantage of this to catch the Beast and get enough data to return its leader.
Meanwhile, Iceman leaves the X-Men, as worried parents take him out of the team after their fight with Proteus, while Wolverine , Cyclops and Kitty Pride are on a mission to the Wild.
The U.S. government complains about Magneto's appearance and demands an explanation from Nick Fury . Fury and his Ultimates discover the Xavier Mansion, whose whereabouts have still not been known, and find it empty as the X-Men moved. Nick Fury comes to the wrong conclusion that the X-Men have joined forces with Magneto to fight humanity.
In preparation for the battle with the X-Men, Captain America reveals that he knows Wolverine well. They fought side by side during World War II when Logan served under the name James "Lucky Jim" Howlett. The X-Men plane is returning, with only Logan and Kitty on board. Wolverine claims that Cyclops heroically died in the Wild. The truth that Jin later finds out is that Wolverine tried to kill Cyclops and left him to die to be with Jin.
Charles Xavier meets Magneto to negotiate a truce, intending to use the meeting to distract him, allowing Wolverine to search Magneto's base. Magneto also manages to determine the location of the new X-Men base and anonymously report it to Ultimate. They hunt down the X-Men and a battle unfolds between the teams.
The Ultimates are practically defeated by the X-Men, who are saved by the arrived Iceman. All X-Men run away, with the exception of Charles Xavier, who remains to detain the Ultimate and is captured by Fury [1] .
