Kadri Simson ( est. Kadri Simson , née Kadri Must , est. Kadri Must ; born January 22, 1977 , Tartu ) - Estonian politician, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure from 2016 to 2019. In 2019, the government approved Simson as the European Commissioner for Estonia [1] .

Biography
Father is politician Aadu Must . In 2000, she graduated with honors from the Faculty of History of the University of Tartu , in 2003 she received a Master 's degree in Political Science from University College London . In the late 90s, she worked, among other things, at the university library. In 1995, she joined the Centrist Party. From 2001 to 2002, she worked as an adviser to the Mayor of Tallinn . From 2003 to 2007, she was the Secretary General of the Center Party. From 2005 to 2006 - member of the Tallinn City Council [2] . In the 2007 election, she first received the mandate of a member of the Riigikogu . From 2009 to 2016, Simson was the chairman of the Center Party faction in the Riigikogu.
In November 2015, she lost the election of the chairman of the Center Party to Edgar Savisaaru [3] .
On November 23, 2016, Simson became Minister of Economy and Infrastructure in the government of Yuri Ratas . She held this position until April 29, 2019.
