Biography
Born on August 15, 1942 in the village of Vladimirovka, Novoarkhangelsky District, Kirovograd Region.
In 1967 he graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Kirovograd Pedagogical Institute [1] . He began his career in 1967 as a physics teacher in a high school in Sverdlovsk .
In 1970-1976 - Senior Lecturer, Department of Pedagogy, Sverdlovsk Pedagogical Institute . In 1976 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of pedagogical sciences.
In 1976–1980 - Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy of the Stavropol Pedagogical Institute , Head of the Pedagogy Department of the North-Caucasus Research Center of Higher Education.
From 1980, he began working as a senior lecturer at Krivoy Rog State Pedagogical Institute , then as an assistant professor in the department of pedagogy.
Since 1987 - Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, since 1988 - Professor.
In 1983–2000 - Vice-Rector for Research at Krivoy Rog State Pedagogical University, in 2000–2010 - Rector.
He was elected deputy of the Krivoy Rog city council .
He died on October 29, 2011 in Krivoy Rog.
Scientific Activities
Scientific activities were aimed at improving the efficiency of the educational process in secondary and higher education. Created scientific school didactics.
The author of almost 150 scientific papers, 10 books. Scientific works were published in authoritative pedagogical publications. In the works presented an analysis of the learning process, reveals the main trends of its improvement in secondary and higher schools. The pedagogical regularity of the relationship between general and vocational education is presented as the leading trend in the development of a single vocational and polytechnic school. Scientific interests are concentrated in the field of physics teaching methods, independent work of schoolchildren, the formation of cognitive activity motivation in students, and the ergonomics of the educational process. Scientific works received recognition and are used in the work of teachers of pedagogical institutes and teachers of schools.
During the management of Krivoy Rog Pedagogical University, new specialties and specializations were discovered: practical psychology, computer science, social pedagogy, law, art work, advertising design; new computer classes have been opened, a computer center has been created. The rector defined important and promising areas of the university’s activities, paid attention to the issues of scientific personnel training, computerization and informatization, development of student self-government. According to the results of the International Academic Rating of Popularity and Quality, “Golden Fortune” the university was awarded the silver St. George medal “Honor. Glory. Labor »IV degree (2002).
In 2000–2011 he headed the specialized academic council D.09.053.01 of the University (defense of dissertations in the following specialties: 13.00.09 “Theory of Teaching”, 13.00.02 “Theory and Methods of Teaching Geography”) during which time 2 doctoral and 33 PhD theses.
