Topaz hummingbird [2] ( lat. Topaza pella ) is a bird species from the hummingbird family (Trochilidae) [1] .

Description
Topaz Hummingbird at the Museum
The length of males reaches 21-23 cm (beak about 5 cm, tail about 12 cm), females are smaller. The weight of birds of both sexes is about 10 g. Males are much more colorful than females. They have raspberry plumage and a shining green throat, and their wings are brown-burgundy.
They feed mainly on the nectar of flowering trees.
Distribution
Brazil , Colombia , French Guiana , Guyana , Peru , Suriname , Venezuela [3] . Birds live in subtropical and tropical rainforests up to a height of 500 m. They are rarely seen on earth.
