John Kenneth Ambler ( June 6, 1924 , Sussex - May 31, 2008 , Banbury ) is a British businessman who was married to Princess Margaret of Sweden .

Biography
In 1963, John Ambler met and met Princess Margaret . In February 1964, they became engaged. On June 30 of that year, they got married on the island of Öland . This wedding was considered a private event, and was smaller in scope than the weddings of her sisters who were married in Stockholm . [one]
After the wedding, in connection with the fact that Princess Margaret married the face of non-royal blood, she lost her title “Her Royal Highness” and after that became known as “Princess Margaret, Mrs. Ambler” . The wedding gift from the King and Queen of Sweden for the wedding was a diamond tiara-kokoshnik, which belonged to Grandma Margaret, the British Princess Margaret Connautsky . [2]
After the wedding, the couple lived in England, first in London , and then at the Chippinghurst estate near Oxford .
Three children were born in the family who do not have the right to inherit the Swedish throne:
- Sibylla Louise Ambler (born 1965) - named after her maternal grandmother, married Baron Henning von Dinkled (born 1971), lives in Munich, two children. Their daughter Madeleine was one of the girlfriends at the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria ;
- Carl Edward Ambler (born 1966) - married Helen Ross (born 1969), two children;
- James Patrick Ambler (born 1967) - married Ursula Mary Shipley (born 1965), two children.
For many years, John Ambler was the director of Atlas Express Ltd , a British transport corporation that provided parcel delivery services throughout the country, and the managing director of Atlas Air Express .
When things began to decline, the family had to leave the Chippinghurst estate and move to a smaller house. Sometimes they visited the Swedish royal family and John Ambler participated in the autumn hunts of King Charles XVI Gustav .
Since 1994, Margaret and John Ambler began to live separately [3] , but never divorced [4] .
John Ambler suffered from health problems for several years and spent the last ten years in a nursing home in Oxfordshire . He died on May 31, 2008.
