History

The publication of a local newspaper in the village of Krindachyovka began on September 1, 1920 [1] [2] .

At the end of December 1920, the village was renamed the Red Beam [3] [4] .

In 1926, the village received the status of a city of regional subordination [3] , after which the publication received the status of a city newspaper. On September 10, 1930, the newspaper began to appear under the name " Stalin's Slaughterer " [5] [6] .

During the Great Patriotic War in October 1941, units of the Red Army stopped the advancing German troops on the Mius river six kilometers from the city, defensive battles began, which took on a fierce character, the Red Beam was subjected to artillery shelling and aerial bombardments. On September 1, 1943 [3], units of the 51st Army of the Southern Front liberated the city and its restoration began [4] .

The publication of the newspaper was resumed; in the post-war period, it was the official printing organ of the Krasnoluchsk City Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, as well as the city and district Councils of Workers' Deputies [6] .

Moreover, in the period from May 15, 1956 to June 21, 1959 inclusively, it was called the " Ray ", and later came out under the name " Banner of Communism " [6] .
