Story
Andrew, whose father was a smuggler all his life, is forced to follow in his footsteps. However, such a way of life is contrary to the hero, and he sees no other way out than to “push” customs officers against his “craft” comrades.

In 1947, the novel was filmed. In the eponymous film by the British director Bernard Knowles, the main roles were played by Michael Redgrave and Jean Kent .
