Biography

A supernumerary student (pensioner of the Main Directorate of Railways and Public Buildings) of the Imperial Academy of Arts (since 1836), whom he graduated in 1832 with the title of free artist. [one]

At the end of the course of sciences at the Academy of Arts, he was appointed to the Yekaterinoslav Construction Commission (1839) as an assistant to the provincial architect [2] . He was recognized as β€œappointed to academics” (1845) [1] . The Council of the Academy of Arts was elevated to the rank of academician and member of the Academy (1845) for the project "invalid house project" composed under the program. He was appointed (1846) the Tomsk provincial architect, Yekaterinoslav (1848). In 1852 he was transferred to the Imperial Kharkov University and. D. Extraordinary Professor in the Department of Architecture. The following year, the University Council , petitioning the Minister of Education for the approval of Lviv as an extraordinary professor, wrote in his submission that the obligation to teach architecture determines not only art, but also an encyclopedic education and gift of speech, and that Lviv, but the minister failed to comply with the Council. Lvov taught the following courses at the university: the history of architecture, the history of building art and the general theory of fine arts. Having retired (1857), a year earlier he had invented a model for the construction of bakeries for drying and preserving bread in grain for a long time. Minister of Education Norov found this model very useful, and the faculty considered it scientifically. The military department and the Highest Approved Commission for developing ways to eliminate shortages and hunger strikes became interested in the Lviv elevators. Living in Kharkov until 1872, Lviv during this period of time rebuilt the buildings of the university and the clinic (near the cathedral), the Kharkov Veterinary Institute, the noble assembly and the women's institute. He was an architect in the Technical and Construction Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs , worked as an architect in Tomsk (1846–1848), Yekaterinoslav (1848–1852), Kharkov (1852–1872), and St. Petersburg (from 1881).
