Content
Geography
It is located in the very north of the federal state of Saxony in the southern part of the Lusatia lakes region . To the south of the village there is an artificial lake Brezovskoe. In the village, motor roads are connected: S 130 - from west to north, from the northeast - K 7103, from the east - K 8478, and from the south - S 126.
Neighboring settlements: in the north - the administrative center of the commune of Groß-Düben, in the northeast - the village of Yemelitz-Javink of the commune of Yemlitz-Klein-Dyuben , in the east - the village of Kromola of the commune of Commune and in the southeast - the city of Weiswasser [2] .
History
First mentioned in 1458 under the name Bresselugk [3] .
Since 1999 it has been part of the modern commune of Groß-Düben [4] .
Currently, the village is part of the cultural-territorial autonomy " Luzhitsky Settlement Region ", on the territory of which there are legislative acts of the lands of Saxony and Brandenburg, which contribute to the preservation of Lusatian languages and the culture of Luzhich [5] [6] .

Population
The official language in the village, in addition to German , is also Upper Luzhk language .
According to the statistical work “Dodawki k statisticy a etnografiji łužickich Serbow” by Arnoš Muki in 1884, 320 people lived in the village (315 of them were Serbian residents (98%)) [8] .
Luzhitsky demographer Arnošt Chernik in his work “Die Entwicklung der sorbischen Bevölkerung” indicates that in 1956, with a total population of 587 people, the village’s population in Alberta was 73% (of these, 341 adults and 88 minors spoke the Urals language) [9] .
