Lef Nosy ( April 8, 1877 , Elbasan , - February 15, 1946 , Tirana ) - Albanian political and statesman. During the Second World War, one of the leaders of the Albanian nationalist and anti-communist organization, Bally Combetar ( National Front ).

Biography
He studied pharmacology at the University of Athens . Without graduating, he returned to his homeland, where he became an activist of the Albanian national movement . In 1909 he headed the patriotic club “Vlaznya”. He was among the organizers of the National Congress in Elbasan (October 1909), which addressed issues of Albanian public education, where it was decided to create the first Albanian school, to create newspapers in their native language.
Since 1910, together with L. Gurakuchi and Alexander Huvani, he edited the magazine Tomorri , collaborated with the magazine Liria ("Freedom"), published in Thessaloniki. In 1911, he was arrested by the Turkish authorities and spent some time in prison. After his release from prison, he released a textbook on the Albanian language .
During the Albanian uprising of 1912, L. Nosi was one of two delegates representing Elbasan sent to Kosovo who participated in negotiations between Albanian rebels and the Ottoman state regarding Albanian socio-political and cultural interests.
In 1912, he signed the Declaration of Independence of Albania as a delegate from Elbasan .
In the first Albanian government , created in 1912, L. Nosi took the post of Minister of Post and Telegraph. In the pro-Italian government, which was formed in 1918, he was appointed Minister of Economics and Food.
He served as chairman of the city council of Elbasan (until December 1924). After the overthrow of the government, Fan Noli withdrew from active political activity, focusing on scientific work. He was engaged in anthropological studies among Albanian highlanders.
In 1939, after the Italian invasion of Albania, he supported the occupation. In September 1943 he was elected chairman of the National Assembly of Albania. In the same year he became a member of the Regency Council, in the structure of the Albanian government, created in the absence of the monarch and acting under the control of the occupying forces in Albania.
On December 3, 1945, he was arrested by the communist authorities and sentenced by a military court on January 14, 1946 to death for collaborating with the occupation authorities along with other members of the Regent Council Malik Bouchati and Anton Kharapi . The prosecutor general ordered the sentence to be executed and confiscated all the property of the convicted. L. Nosi was shot on February 15, 1946 near the walls of the city cemetery in Tirana and buried in an unknown grave.
